April 13, 1948 – April 5, 2023
John Wayne "Buzz" Kinyon was born on April 13, 1948 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Harvey Lewis and Pearl (May) Kinyon. He was raised in Wagoner and graduated from Wagoner High School in 1968. He then joined the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1970. John "Buzz" worked many jobs in the Water Department for the City of Coweta.
Buzz met the former Linda Diane Walker, and he knew that God had sent her to him. They were married on December 30, 2003 (his mother's birthday, so he would never forget). Family was very important to Buzz. He was a wonderful grandpa and always kind and compassionate. He loved his family, his friends and his work family and they all loved him in return. He always made sure everyone was fed, including his neighbors, and they loved him.
Church was important to Buzz. He loved God. Fishing was also important to him, and he enjoyed catching catfish. He would drop whatever he was doing if anyone asked him to go fishing. He was the catfish king.
