Obituary

On November 20, 1941 in Wagoner, Oklahoma a baby boy was born to Gertrude Beck and Echols Pettis. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Wagoner, OK in 1961. After graduation, he returned to Denver and began an illustrious 47- year career with Samsonite Luggage Company that began as a high school summer job to the Warehouse/Quality Control Manager. There were many awards and accolades along the way. He truly loved his Samsonite Family. Johnny met and married Sharon Boozer and to this union was a son, Johnny L Pettis, Jr.

Johnny confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and loved the LORD. The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to Johnny. He loved spending quiet evenings with his family and friends and enjoyed bragging about his children and grandchildren.
