A memorial service for Josephine Lily Watkins, 77, of Broken Arrow will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with the Reverend Richard Puckett officiating. Josephine was born October 12, 1935 in Romford Essex, England to Albert E. and Winnifred N. (Green) Strutt. She grew up and was educated in England before meeting a young airman in the U.S. Air Force named Truman Ray Watkins. They were later married on April 9, 1960 in England. She and her family moved to the United States in 1978 and settled in Northeast Oklahoma. Josephine was a wonderful homemaker for her family and enjoyed knitting, ceramics and other arts and crafts. She was also a huge fan of George Strait, traveling with family to many of his concerts. Surrounded by her family, Josephine passed away peacefully Thursday, September 19 at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, OK. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Truman Ray Watkins of the home; her children, Renee Koehn and husband, Bryan of Broken Arrow, Gary Watkins and wife, Esther also of Broken Arrow and Audie Russell Watkins and wife, Tina of Boerne, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Watkins, Brittany Watkins and Chelsea and Bailey Koehn; great-grandchildren, Jon and Annabelle Watkins; other relatives and friends. Final arrangements are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
