Obituary

Judith Ann Jones, 75 passed away Monday, December 30th in Tulsa Oklahoma. She was born and raised in Porter Oklahoma to James Arlin Oliver and Audrey Oliver (Durrett) on July 25th,1949. She married William D. (Bill) Jones on April 12th, 1968.

Judy was a standout athlete growing up and excelled in all sports. Basketball though was where she excelled most, and where her love for sports began. She not only was a 4-year starter but led Porter to many successful seasons. Continuing her love and passion for the sport, after graduation she helped in coaching the next generation for several years. Judy was honored as the first female athlete inductee into the Porter Sports Hall of Fame. While her love for basketball continued on, she could often be seen enjoying any sport, and fell in love with golf, something else she became proficient in. This brought her many friends over the years as she competed in many tournaments and competitions.

If anyone knew Judy, they knew her love language was through her cooking. Often found in her infamous Coca-Cola kitchen, there wasn't a single dish she couldn't make, a trait she inherited from her mother, Audrey. She connected with everyone through her food, always being the first to show support with a dish that somehow seemed to taste that much better when she cooked it.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Arlin "Cotton" Oliver and Jimmy Leon Oliver, and nephews Brent Hogan, and Billy Oliver. She is survived by her husband of 56 years and her children, Diana Schmidt (husband John) and son Brian Jones (wife Kristi). Grandchildren, Kalli and Logan (fiancé Lexi) Jones and Erin and Andrew Schmidt. Sister Hazel Hogan (husband James) and brother Terry Oliver (wife Debra), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was a lifelong member of the Porter First Baptist Church.
