Julia Kathrine Skeen Norris was born October 5, 1918 in Wagoner, OK to John Fred and Maud Ellen (White) Werfelmann. After graduating from Wagoner High School Julia attended college in Chickasha, OK and business school in Tulsa, OK. She was a long time employee of the American Bank in Wagoner, starting in the early days when she was the third employee to work for the bank and finishing her career as a bank officer when she retired. Julia was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church. She was active in many church activities, especially as a member of the choir. Julia was a member of Study Club Unlimited in Wagoner.

She departed this life Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018 at the Broken Arrow Nursing Home at the age of 99 years and 3 months. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Norris; brothers, T. Lightsey and Fred Werfelmann and two sisters, Jewel Mizell and Mary Ella Brown.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald W. and Judith Skeen of Wagoner; grandchildren, Bill Howell, Jill Alexander, Amy Dawn Skeen and Ronald J. Skeen; eleven great-grandchildren; extended family and her friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, with the Reverend Will Smith officiating.

Private inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
