Obituary

Julie Anne McLaughlin was born on August 23, 1947 in Seminole, OK, to Joe and Maudeen Sarvash. Julie was one of four children: Karen, Steve, Jeff and herself. Rick and Julie were married and began their adventures together on August 6, 1982. Julie had a real passion and love for animals, especially her fur-babies at home, Bo, Tiki, and Bear. She and Rick enjoyed going on hunting trips together where Julie would wear her pink camos, which I'm sure the deer loved! Julie had a sweet, funny spirit, and a genuine love and respect for everyone that was returned to her as well. She retired from the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office, where she had worked for 15 years on August of 2012. She and Rick's adventures together were put on hold in January 25, 2013 due to complications of a heart condition, but she will be impatiently waiting on him to continue them. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maudeen Sarvash; father and mother-in-law, Hugh and Mary McLaughlin; grandson and apple of her eye, Ki Maggard; niece, Brianna; and brother-in-law, Norman Kerfoot. She is survived by husband, Rick McLaughlin; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Denise Maggard of El Paso, Texas and son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Ginger Maggard of Haviland, Kansas; three grandchildren, Kaylee and John White of Pryor, OK, Kristyn and Kaleb Maggard of Haviland, Kansas; great-grandson, Vladimir from Pryor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Kathy Sarvash of Mustang, OK, Jeff and Terry Sarvash of Farmington, New Mexico; and sister, Karen, of Woodward, OK. Also, brothers and sisters-in-law, Alton and Joanne Lothridge, and Jim and Kathy McLaughlin; nephews, Mark, Jim Jr., James, Jobe, Gage, and Jeremy, Mike and Joe; Nieces, Robin, Ashley, and Lizzy, Stephanie, Melissa; extended family, Linda and John Anderson, who were and are friends and confidants for the last 30 years; Julie's two very dear friends, who were close to her as mother and daughter, Lisa Tyree and Nikki Wylie; and Nana Jules' babies, Page, Samantha, Kaylee and Killie. There were so many more, all of whom were loved by Julie. We will all miss dearly this sweet lady who touched so many lives. As she sits in Heaven playing dominoes, eating pepperoni pizza with ranch, waiting on the love of her life to be by her side again, and catching up with those who went before, we will go on never being the same for having known her and thankful for all the wonderful memories she gave us. Love you Julie! A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 9700 U.S. Highway 377, in Tishomingo, OK. Interment will be in the Tishomingo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gage McLaughlin , James McLaughlin, Jeremy Lothridge, Johnny Cobble, Robert Cooper and Mark Kerfoot.
