Obituary

Justin Neil "Bodee" Drywater was born January 11, 1977, in Wagoner, OK. He graduated from Porter High School in 1995 and made Porter and Redbird his lifelong home. Bodee was cherished by friends and family alike as a good person who was always willing to help others. He dearly loved the people in his life. Most especially, he loved his family. He was always there to take care of everyone. He could fix anything and was called on time and again to help. His parents remember how he was there to care for them when they needed it. He was very much the glue that held things together. He had a fun side as well and left many memories of pestering and joking with loved ones. He loved anything outdoors, especially fishing. He also liked hunting and enjoyed watching all sports. He loved gambling as well.

Justin departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home in Porter, OK at the age of 46 years. When news of Bodee's death came, breaths were held, hearts skipped a beat, and rivers of tears began to fall. Even now it is hard to believe the truth of his passing and to believe that one so loved, so talented, so beautiful is gone too soon.

We can only guess at God's plan for Bodee's life.  His life will have a lasting and positive impact on his family and friends that will be comforting as they move forward. His memory is one of constant love and caring to those around him.

"I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them and we help them in return." —Stephen Schwartz.

Justin will be greatly missed by his survivors, who include his mother and dad, Annette and Mike Panter of the home; his father and stepmother, Larry and Sandy Drywater of Owasso, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Misty and Gary Todd of Porter, OK and Amanda and Scott Amore of Bixby, OK; his maternal grandmother, Christine Stevens of Porter; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Madison and Christian, Garrett and Abby, Kinzee, Gabby, Garrison, Gracee and Lane, Caleb and Carlee, Peyton, Nash and Kayle; great nieces and nephews, Macey, Hudson, Zeke, Stella Vivian, Silas, Sutton and Baby H.; half siblings, Catina, Christie, Bear and all their families; extended family and many friends.
