Katherine "Kittie" Lou Ferguson

November 19, 1931 — April 24, 2026

Wagoner

The world dimmed a little on the morning of Friday, April 24th, 2026 when Katherine Lou Ferguson, better known as Kittie, 94, of Wagoner, OK, passed from this Earth. Born on November 19th, 1931 in Wagoner, OK to Wheeler Bancroft and Katherine Marie Cleland.

Kittie lived a life filled with love, family, adventure, kindness and selflessly caring for others. On Christmas day of 1948, she married the love of her life, Ray Franklin Ferguson in Coquille, Oregon. They welcomed their first child, Debra Diane in 1952 and returned to their hometown of Wagoner, OK in 1957. Not long after returning, they purchased the Phillips 66 jobbership which they successfully ran until they retired, selling it to her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Velma Cleland. Their family was completed in 1967 when they introduced their little boy, Rodney Ray, to the world. Raising kids didn’t stop there. In 1980, Kittie became a Mimi to Kristi Marie and was rarely seen without her by her side.

Kittie was a longstanding member of First Baptist Church Wagoner along with much of her family that attended and were baptized there over the years. Kittie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and Mimi. Her hands were rarely still. She was known for her incredible pies and her award-winning azaleas that surrounded her home.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate of 54 years, Ray Franklin Ferguson, her parents, Wheeler and Katherine Cleland and her brothers, Corky, Junior and wife, Bonnie, Bill and wife Velma. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Duane) Evans and Rodney (Brandi) Ferguson along with her adored grandchildren, Kristi (Matt) Carter and Sadie and Aspen Ferguson and great grandchildren, Cheyanne Jones and Cali Carter; and sister-in-law, Carol Cleland .
