Kathryn Sue Baker was called home to heaven the evening of October 7, 2014 at the age of 82 from her earthly home while surrounded by her family. She was born on December 12, 1931 to Fred M. and Eloise (Cunningham) Combites in Wagoner, OK. Kathryn was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved spending her extra time in her flower garden and reading from her bible. She made her home in Warner, Oklahoma where she raised five sons. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, William Lewis Baker; their daughter, Carolyn Teresa; and Kathryn's sister, Dorothy Eidson. Kathryn is survived by her sons and their wives, Robert Lewis and Brenda Baker of Warner, OK, Scott and Ronelle Baker of Warner, OK, Bill and Kara Baker of McCurtain, OK, Greg and Shawna Baker of Porum, OK, and Mike and Debbie Baker of Muskogee, OK. She is also survived by her one brother, Fred M. Combites Jr.; her sister, Betty Browning, both of Wagoner, OK; one stepson, Mark Baker of Haskell, OK; her nine grandchildren and their spouses, Robby and Jamie Baker, Teresa (Baker) and Brian Mathis, Andrew and Tara Baker, Justin Baker, Cody Baker, Wren Baker, Morton and Ayumi Baker, Jed and Autumn Baker, and Melissa Baker. Kathryn was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. A graveside service will be held at the Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, OK on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Josh McElyea of Warner First Assembly of God will officiate. Robert Lewis Baker Sr., Scott Baker, Bill Baker, Greg Baker, Mike Baker and Robby Baker will serve as pallbearers. Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK will be taking care of our beloved Kathryn, and family and friends are welcome to go there and pay their respects.
