Kathy Carlotta White-Oosahwee was born February 26, 1957 in Durango, Colorado to Calvin Martin White and Loretta Daphane (Mayfield) White. Kathy grew up in Hulbert, OK where she was a member of the Soroptimist Club while in high school. After graduation she attended Northeastern State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in early childhood development. For many years she taught in the Cave Springs School system.

Kathy's happiest times were when she was with her family. To all the grandchildren she was "Nanny". All her family will miss her presence in their lives, but will be comforted by each of their special memories of time spent with her. A special memory of Tyler's is when the two of them would go fishing. Kathy loved to read, do puzzles, solve crosswords, play solitaire and watch crime shows on television. A part of her family also included her adored dogs, Sadie and Dozer. Terry recalls how Kathy always had a bulldog through the years.

Kathy departed this life at the age of 66 years on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at her home in Gore, OK with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Loretta White; a granddaughter, Caylee Christine; triplet grandbabies and a number of aunts and uncles, including her Uncle Hogeon White.

Surviving her are, her loving husband, Terry Oosahwee of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, J. R. and Amanda Barnes of Owasso, OK and Calvin and Shawnda Barnes of Peggs, OK; grandchildren, Elizabeth Michell Barnes, Dayne Barnes, Shayne Barnes, Abigayle Barnes, Tyler Barnes and fiancé Jessalyn Jenkins and Ethan Barnes; a stepdaughter, Shelly Jones Graham and her family of Wagoner, OK; siblings, Gail Rhodes, Calvin Dean White and Parma Teague; a number of nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Kathy's life at a funeral service Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 10:00 am in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Pastor Rob Pierce.

Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery, near Hulbert, Oklahoma at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 2.  Pallbearers will be Tyler Barnes, J. R. Barnes, Calvin Barnes, Dayne Barnes, Shayne Barnes and Ethan Barnes.
