Kenneth Perry Owens was born January 3, 1947 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Ernest and Mildred (Jarvis) Owens. He attended Wagoner schools and made Wagoner his home his entire life. Kenneth married the former Teddie Sue Wright on May 25, 1964. They were married for forty-five years until her passing in 2009.

Kenneth was manager of the Maverick station and store for many years. His greatest interest was carpentry, and he loved building houses. Kenneth liked to spend time outdoors fishing and camping.

Kenneth departed this life Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2019 at his home in Wagoner at the age of 72 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teddie Sue; his parents and two sisters, Imogene Jean Cannon and Katherine Tibbs.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Yolanda Owens and Tracy Hilton and his son, Dwight Owens; grandchildren, Eric Huggins, Jeremy Owens and wife Allison, Brittany Pride and husband, Kyle and Whitnie Owens; great-grandchildren Audrey Pride, Atticus Pride, Jackson Owens,  Landon Pitrucha, Kylah Hilton, and one on the way; his step-grandchildren, John Hilton and Shandy Pitrucha; extended family and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Wagoner Lighthouse Full Gospel Church. The Reverend Lisa Sowers will officiate.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, where Kenneth will be laid to rest beside his wife, Teddie Sue. Pallbearers will be Eric Huggins, Jeremy Owens, Brittany Pride, Kyle Pride, John Hilton, Whitnie Owens and Shandy Pitucha.
