Obituary

Kirt Jacob Stickelmeyer was born on August 5, 1974, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Stanley Arnold Stickelmeyer and Linda Lorene (Champlain) Stickelmeyer. He attended Muskogee Public Schools in Muskogee, Oklahoma, until moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, eventually moving back to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he resided.

Kirt was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hunting, particularly deer hunting, reflecting his deep appreciation for nature.  He had a wide-ranging love for music, enjoying genres across the spectrum, which complemented his active lifestyle.  Family was immensely important to him; his love for his children and grandchildren was a cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Kirt departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Galveston, Texas, at the age of 50 years.  Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Leroy Champlain and Alma Stickelmeyer; paternal grandparents, Jack and Mary Jane Stretch; his father, Stanley Stickelmeyer; uncles, Bill Champlain, Guy Stickelmeyer, and Jimmy Orcutt; and his aunt, Wonnetta Stickelmeyer; cousin, Dawn Rose.

Those left to cherish the many memories of his life include his mother, Linda Stickelmeyer of Muskogee, OK; brother, Stan Stickelmeyer and wife, Wendy of Muskogee, OK; his children, Chasity Grant and husband Ryon Davis of Muskogee, OK, Jacob Grant of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Jaxx King, Mallory Davis, Chance Grant, Tallon Grant, and Malachi Grant; his niece, Tabitha Stickelmeyer; his aunts, Marylee Skaggs and husband, Danny of Muskogee, OK, Jane Smith and husband, Bob of Muskogee, OK, Ramona Stickelmeyer of Wagoner, OK, and Dottie McHawk of Muskogee, OK; cousins, Belinda Champlain, Shane Skaggs, Brandon Skaggs, Michael Stickelmeyer, Michelle Stickelmeyer, Joy Stickelmeyer, and Tammy Livingston.

Kirt's departure leaves a void in the lives he touched, but his memories and spirit he created will forever remain with us.  He loved his family, he was a great son, brother, father, and grandfather.  He will never be forgotten and will live in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Kirt Stickelmeyer, will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Pioneer Cemetery, Wagoner, Oklahoma, Pastor Micah Wisdom will officiate.
