Obituary

Lamon Axtell Smith was born August 29, 1998 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Smith and Ian (Rose) Collier. He graduated from Wagoner High School and Indian Capital Vo Tech in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he studied HVAC. He worked for UNARCO and later in swimming pool construction.

Lamon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He loved his church family and was active in helping with Vacation Bible School and cleaning the church buses. He was an avid fisherman as well.

Lamon left this world Friday, July 29, 2022 at his home in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 23 years. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Janet Lamon Smith and his maternal grandfather, Harvey Rose.

He is survived by his paternal grandfather, Leonard Bill Smith of the home; his father, Charles William Smith and stepmother, Lisa Anderson; his mother, Ian Collier of Ohio; brothers, Victor Collier of Tulsa, George Smith of Wagoner and Jozef Smith of Tulsa; sister, Chole Smith of Tulsa; maternal grandmother, Leslie Axtell of Broken Arrow; stepbrother, Patrick Anderson of Georgia; stepsister, Brittany Anderson of Texas; great-aunt, Lena Susie Arthur of Wagoner; other extended family and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a Visitation Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm.

Viewing will be Tuesday from 10 am – 7 pm.

Graveside services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, August 10 at Three Rivers Cemetery in Okay, Oklahoma. Officiating will be the Reverend Tom Roberts. Pallbearers will be Leonard Bill Smith, Michael Leonard Smith, Jason Weaver, Dwight Epperson, Johnny Lamon and Robert Lamon.
