Obituary

Larry Chris Whitekiller was born February 4, 1949 in Wagoner, OK to Laverne (Overall) and Chris Whitekiller, who preceded him in death. After graduating from Wagoner High School Larry moved to Colorado. In the early 1980's he moved to Lompoc, California where he made his home at the time of his death.

He was employed as a painter and sandblaster with American Coatings. Larry was proud to twice have painted the American flag on the space shuttle. His work also included Titan, Atlas, and Delta rocket towers. He ran work at VAFB for various union contractors and was a member of the Painters Local 715 in Santa Barbara and then Local 52 of Bakersfield. He was a life member of IBPAT.

Larry departed this life Sunday, November 10. 2019 in Lompoc, California. He is survived by two sisters, Loretta Bates of VanBuren, AR and Kathy Dale and her husband, Jerry Dale, of Wagoner, OK; one aunt, Betty Page of Wagoner, OK; his special friend, Karinda Koscielniak of California; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and his friends.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner. Mr. Bobby Whitekiller will officiate.

Private inurnment will be in Henson Cemetery in Cherokee County, OK.
