IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lee Paul
Geisler
July 25, 1939 – April 22, 2025
Lee Paul Geisler passed away on April 22, 2025, at Frye Hospital in Hickory, NC. He was born on July 25, 1939, in Ponca City, OK.
Lee graduated from Ponca City High School in 1957. After a stint in the U.S. Army, Lee entered the mobile home industry, where he was not just a participant but a pioneer. His work was instrumental in shaping the industry from its infancy, and his influence can still be felt today.
Beyond his professional achievements, Lee was a man of many interests. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding lots of joy with his family and friends on the boat or water. His hands were skilled in the art of woodworking, and as a master cabinet maker, he crafted pieces that were not only functional but also ingrained with the warmth of his spirit. Lee's love for ranching, gardening, and cooking were reflections of his connection to the land and the bounty it provides.
Lee was a devoted husband to his wife of 49 years, Patsy Ann French Geisler, who preceded him in death in 2007. Together, they built a legacy of love and commitment that is carried on by their children: daughter Pam Woodward and her husband Danny of Cherryville, NC; son Mike Geisler and his wife Bertha of El Paso, TX; and son Rick Geisler and his wife Adrea of West Jefferson, NC. Lee's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren: Josh Geisler, Jonathan Geisler, Travis Woodward (wife Whitney), Melanie Mellon (husband Zeb), Melissa Valdez (husband Jerry), and Tania Valdez, and his great-grandchildren: Jason, Kylie, Brooke, Madison, Caroline, Violet, Skylar, Emma Lou, Austin, Sofia, and Ander and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Each of them carries a piece of Lee's heart and legacy.
Lee was preceded in death by his brother Ray Geisler of Denton, TX, and his parents, Walter Geisler and Ruth Godberson Geisler. His life was enriched by the deep friendships he cultivated, especially with Charlotte Swenson and Liz Swenson, who stood by him through thick and thin.
Lee's life was a testament to the values he held dear: hard work, family, and the joy of creating with one's own hands. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, yet his legacy will continue to inspire.
A celebration of Lee's life was held on May 10th at his home in Cherryville, NC. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made of your charity of choice in Lee's honor.
