Obituary

Lenny M. Riegel was born October 19, 1956 in Wichita, KS to Lloyd M. Riegel Sr. and Mary Lou (Jones) Riegel. He graduated from Wagoner High School in 1975 and then served in the United States Air Force until 1978 when he was Honorably Discharged.

Lenny was an over the road truck driver for many years. His home base most of his life was in Okay, OK, where he made his home at the time of his death on Tuesday morning, November 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and three uncles, Glen, Floyd and Lawrence (Larry).

One of Lenny's favorite memories as a truck driver was when he was able to transport the original airplane built by the Wright brothers to a destination at NASA. He enjoyed the stops made at schools along the way for students to see the aircraft. He recalled how the children enjoyed seeing his pug dog, Maggie, who traveled with him. They both received V P badges from NASA. Lenny always liked to help children any way he could. He loved buying Girl Scout cookies every years.

Lenny's family will miss him dearly. They will remember that he was "ornery as all get out." Survivors include his sister, Lydia Riegel Dupont of the home; brother, Lloyd Riegel and his wife, Diana of California; brother-in-law, Jackie Eubanks Sr.; sister-in-law, Debbie Riegel; nieces and nephews, including Anna Marie and Daniel Morton, Andrew and Caitlin Morton, Jack Mitchel Eubanks Jr., Marie Jo Morton, Elizabeth Marie Morton, Lauren Riegel, Sabrina Dupont, Cody Dupont, Alexis, Abbey and Blake, Leanne and Paisley; two aunts, Connie Capps and Billie Linn; other extended family and friends.

No service is planned at this time.
