Lillie Christine Stevens

Lillie Christine (Buster) Stevens, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, August 3, 2026, at her home in Porter, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.

Lillie was born on October 22, 1939, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Horace Mount Buster and Louise (McKinney) Buster. She was raised with strong family values that remained at the center of her life. Lillie had a kind and generous heart, a quick wit, and a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. She never met a stranger for long and had a special way of making those around her feel welcomed and loved.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved deeply and unconditionally, finding her greatest happiness in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying each other’s company, those moments became treasured memories that her family will carry with them forever.

Lillie found peace in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time fishing, especially at Kilgore Pond in Porter, where many happy days were spent casting a line and enjoying the beauty of nature. She enjoyed tending her garden, embracing the rewards of farm life, and caring for her rabbits. She also shared a special bond with her faithful dog, Gizmo, whose loyal companionship brought her comfort and joy through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Mount Buster and Louise (McKinney) Buster; her husband, Tom Stevens; her son, Mike Priest; her grandson, Justin Drywater; her infant great grandson, Remington; and her brothers, Jerry “Shoat” Buster and Leroy Buster.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Annette Panter and husband, Mike, of Porter, Oklahoma, Danny Priest of Cordell, Oklahoma, Rodney Webb and wife, Kathy, of Watonga, Oklahoma, and Keith Richardson and wife, Lori, of Sentinel, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and love. She is also survived by her sister, Glenda June Mallory and husband, Ted, of Westville, Oklahoma.

Lillie’s legacy is one of love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. She taught those who knew her the value of cherishing life’s simple blessings and loving without reservation. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service will be held to honor the life of Lillie Stevens on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Todd Show Pigs barn in Porter, OK.
