Linda Kay Barwick was born February 9, 1948 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Leonard Claude Huffman and Mary Louis (Brayton) Davis. She was previously employed as a caseworker in the Child Welfare Division of the State of Arkansas. For the past 18 years Linda and her beloved husband, Vincent Arthur Barwick, made their home in the Toppers area of Wagoner, Oklahoma. They met in Alaska and married more than forty years ago. They moved to Hawaii where he served in the United States Navy. Linda enjoyed crocheting and embroidering and decorating her home. Linda departed this life early Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her home in Wagoner. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ronald Huffman and Charles Lynn Huffman. Survivors include her husband, Vincent Barwick of the home; one son, Leonard Wayne VanHouten of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Yvonne Orrick of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Pamela Woolsey and her husband, Steven, of Dallas, Texas; two nieces, Lisa Yvonne Frost and Christie Marie Bivins; one nephew, Ronald Scott Sharrer; nine great-nieces and nephews; four great great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday morning, September 15, 2015 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. Chaplain Roger Miller will officiate. Interment will be at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday in Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
