A memorial service to the celebrate the life of Linda Sue Butler will be held at 10:00 am Friday,
August 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

Linda Sue (Smith) Butler was born November 8, 1949 in Wagoner, OK to Alvie and Opal (Steelmon) Smith. Linda Sue was a lifelong Hulbert, OK resident. She was a caregiver to the entire family, always putting everyone else's needs before her own, and always liked to cook for everyone and make sure they had plenty to eat. Her care extended to nieces and nephews.

Her first employment was as a cook for Ross Nursing Home II, and she later worked at Wal Mart in Wagoner. Sue loved arts and crafts and enjoyed flowers of all kinds.

Linda Sue departed this life Monday, August 13, 2018 at her Hulbert home, with her her loving family around her, at the age of 68 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Charles Butler; her parents; grandparents, and all of her siblings, including Grover Smith, Lloyd Smith, Kathleen and Eli Cole, Virginia Marrs and Imogene Norman and three nephews, Randy Marrs, Ralph Cole and Dwight Norman.

Survivors include four children and their spouses: Jennifer and Herman Henson of Lost City, OK, Chris and Janet Butler of Stilwell, OK, Joe Butler of Hulbert, OK and Gina "Bill" and Nate Clary of Glencoe, OK; her grandchildren, Jacob Henson, Savannah Dockins, Joshua Henson, Starlette Carpenter, Danielle Calico, Kellie Cochran, Dominique Butler, Kyler Butler, Damon Butler and Avalii Sue Lewis; six great-grandchildren with another on the way; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
