Linda Darlene Johnson was born September 28, 1948 in Corpus Christie, Texas to Ida Mae (Riley) and James William Prather. She graduated from Porter High School. On April 26, 1978 Linda married Ollen Eugene Johnson. They made their home in Arizona and California before moving back to Porter, Oklahoma. Before retirement Linda worked as an armed security guard, first for Georgia Pacific and more recently for a dispensary.

Linda loved to take on a challenge. She enjoyed so many things, including gardening and canning, quilting, fishing, bailing hay and tending to cattle. Her family recalls what a good cook and baker she was. She enjoyed visiting Branson, and she always had and loved her dogs.

She departed this life Sunday, July 31, 2022 at her home in Porter at the age of 73 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ida Prather; a brother, James Robert Prather; and uncle, Wayne Riley and aunt, Helen McCollough.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Ollen Eugene Johnson; her son, Mike Wicks, both of Porter; her daughter, Renee Johnson and her wife, Cody of Porter; grandchildren, Silas Johnson, Sawyer Johnson and Salem Johnson, all of Porter; niece, Shawna Reel of Tulsa; nephew, Mark Prather of Coweta; extended family and friends.

Viewing will be from 10 am until 7 pm Tuesday.

The Celebration of Life will be at 10 am Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. The Reverend Mark Pointer will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK. Pallbearers will be Mark Prather, Mike Huitt, Darren McCollough, Dennis McCollough, Ron Riley and Clay Meyers.
