IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Lou
Keeton
May 29, 1947 – March 21, 2025
Linda Lou (Hinds) Keeton
May 29, 1947 – March 21, 2025
Linda Lou (Hinds) Keeton was born on May 29, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Clinton Ovid Hinds and Helen Adelia (Mitchell) Hinds. She graduated from Webster High School in 1965.
While attending Wagoner schools, Linda met the love of her life, Tommy Lee Keeton. After his service in Vietnam, they were married on December 24, 1965, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, friendship, and unwavering respect. Their 59 years of marriage were a testament to the beauty of a devoted and enduring union.
After spending two years in Tulsa, Linda and Tommy made their home in Wagoner, where they raised their two sons, Jay and Scott. Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, creating countless cherished memories that will continue to sustain her loved ones. Her gentle kindness, warmth, and love will leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
Her grandchildren will always remember the comfort of coming home to her after school, enjoying snacks and cartoons, and playing spirited games of HORSE in the backyard. Holiday gatherings were made special by the meals she lovingly prepared, a tradition her family will always hold dear.
Linda was a talented and creative woman who found joy in a variety of crafts, including ceramics, sewing, cross-stitch, crochet, quilting, and macramé. Her greatest passion, however, was gardening. Flowers were her love language, and she delighted in sharing her plants—especially cuttings from her beloved Christmas cactus—with family and friends. She found peace in nature, treasuring hummingbirds, wind chimes, and the beauty of her garden. Even in her final days, she insisted on planting tulip bulbs, ensuring her family would enjoy their blooms for years to come.
On the evening of March 21, 2025, Linda passed away with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love and memory: her devoted husband, Tommy Lee Keeton of the home; her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay Don and Melinda Keeton of Clever, MO, and Scott and Cherry Keeton of Wagoner, OK; her grandchildren, Stephen Keeton and wife, Heidi, of Wagoner, OK; Tyler Keeton of Wagoner, OK; Becca Lee Keeton of Dallas, TX; Michaela Keeton and husband, Charles Butler, of Oklahoma City, OK; and Jacob Keeton of Springfield, MO; as well as her great-granddaughter, Charlie Butler of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her brothers, Willis Martin and Tommy Hinds, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Linda's loving presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A private graveside service will be held in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, OK.
