Funeral services for Linda Lou Moss, 65 of Coweta will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at the Lone Star Baptist Church with the Reverend Sam Davis officiating. Linda was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on November 19, 1946 to her parents, Lee and Lilllie (Hamilton) McClure. She grew up in the Ft. Gibson area and attended Muskogee High School. Linda was a member of the Crescent Valley Baptist Church near Ft. Gibson. She worked at various manufacturing jobs in the area and was always a wonderful homemaker for her family. Linda enjoyed playing bingo and clogging dance trips to Branson and other places. She passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Dec. 14 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Carl and Charles McClure and two sisters, Carrie Hemingway and Alice Fay McClure. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jay Moss of the home; a daughter, Sherry Pierson and her husband, Larry of Coweta; a granddaughter whom she treasured, Whitley Pierson; four sisters, Carolyn Buckhorn of Durham, North Carolina, Patty Hargraves, Lanna Olivera and Joann Danger all of Broken Arrow; one brother, Roger McClure also of Broken Arrow; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers for Linda will be Edward Hargrove, Darrell Hargrove, Charlie Ledford, Rodney McClure, Steven Olivera and Jason Armstrong. Funeral arrangements and interment in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta were directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
