The memorial service to celebrate the life of Linda Sue Nelson will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Chouteau United Methodist Church, 316 West Main Street, Chouteau, OK. Officiating will be the Reverend Connie Taylor.

Linda Sue McKinney was born January 14, 1941 in Hugo, OK to Tommie M. and Mamie D. (Newland) McKinney. She graduated from Hugo High School.

Linda married Harold Dee Nelson in Hugo, OK on October 31, 1959. This year would have marked their 60 ^th anniversary. Linda and Harold moved from Jenks, OK to Chouteau 37 years ago. They are members of the Chouteau United Methodist Church.

Linda loved to play bunco with her friends. She loved travelling, as long as she didn't have to fly, and enjoyed taking care of her yard.

Most of all, Linda loved her family and took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Linda departed this life Friday morning, May 31, 2019 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 78 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Mamie McKinney; two sisters, Tommie Barnes and Monty Smith and a son-in-law, Russell Sullivan.

Survivors include her loving husband, Harold Nelson of the home; son, Michael Nelson of Mansfield, TX; daughters, Marsha Chezem of Norman, OK and Sandra Sullivan of Chouteau, OK; brother, Tim McKinney and wife, Sandi of Sherman, TX and Alvis McKinney of Mansfield, LA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
