Linda Sue (Bailey) Robertson of Porter passed away October 5th, 2017 at the age of 76. She was born March 10, 1941 at home in Hackett, Arkansas, the third of six children.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bernice Bailey; her husband Donald Robertson; her sister Inez Nichols; her brothers Jerry Bailey, Donald Bailey and Daymond Bailey; and her daughter-in-law Molly Robertson.

She is survived by her son, Charles Robertson; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Darren McCollough; her granddaughters, Kasey Chica and Alex McCollough; her great-grandchildren, Daysi and David Chica; her brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Shirley Bailey; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and beloved friends.

Linda graduated from school in Hackett Arkansas and met Donald Robertson around Christmas time, 1959. They dated for a week before Donald returned to California. Linda moved to California two months later, and they married March 7th, 1960 in Yuma Arizona. They remained married until his death, 50 years later.

Linda worked at Stop's restaurant in California for ten years. In 1971 the Robertsons moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to family. Linda worked at Baker's Catfish Restaurant off and on for 12 years and retired from Corning Glass Works after 15 years of service.

Linda had many passions which included treasure hunting at garage sales, eating out and visiting with family and friends, attending church services and watching her game shows.

Linda loved her family and friends dearly. She was caring, kind, compassionate, selfless and always quick with a laugh or smile. She had a great sense of humor and loved nothing more than to scare the kids in the family, a fact that now brings fond smiles to her grown nieces and nephews.

Linda was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her passing has left a huge void to all who knew her. But, we take solace in the fact that she is with our Savior and all of the loved ones who have gone before her. What a homecoming that must have been…

Family and friends will gather for a Visitation Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Porter. The Reverend Bobby Jenkins will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Darren McCollough, Mark Cook, Tony Chica, James Blankenship, Mark Hogue and Steven McKinney.
