The funeral service for Linda Kay McConnell Witten, 55, of Joplin, MO, will be held at 12 PM Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Wagoner, OK. The Reverend Carl Tinnea will officiate. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Friday at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. Linda passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was born February 17, 1953 in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of Lottie McConnell and the late Carl McConnell, Sr. A graduate of Muskogee High School, she was a housewife and mother. She was baptized at the age of seven and was a member of the Baptist faith. Linda loved to cross stitch, had a flair for decorating and was a Master Gardener. Survivors include a son, Kristopher Witten and wife, Meleah of Nixa, MO; a daughter, Ashley Forysthe and husband, Patrick, of Bonner Springs, KS; mother, Lottie McConnell of Carl Junction, MO; a sister, Pat Clark and husband, Pete, of Wagoner, OK; brothers-in-law, Johnny Witten and wife, Kim of Wagoner; Mike Witten of Muskogee; and sisters-in-law, Barbara McGee of Tulsa, OK and Sarah McConnell Pinjvue of Joplin, MO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and a special friend, Mark Turner of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Witten; her father, Carl McConnell, SR; her brother, Carl McConnell, Jr. and her grandparents. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Bryan Graham, Brad Witten, Greg Witten, David Potts, Dale Graham and Danny Graves. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness, P. O.
