Lois Lanell (Speck) VanBrunt was born April 3, 1947 in Wagoner, OK to Cloman and Juanita (LaChance) Speck. She attended Wagoner schools and later completed licensed practical nursing training at the Indian Capitol VoTech. Lois married Eldon Lee VanBrunt on January 27, 1964, and they were married for nearly 57 years, making their home in Wagoner to work and raise their family.

Lois was employed at the Wagoner Community Hospital for 35 years and also worked in home healthcare. She was a dedicated caregiver, and gave so much to her many patients through the years. In her spare time Lois enjoyed flowers and craftwork.

Lois departed this life Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 73 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloman and Juanita Speck; a grandson, Hayden Hawkins; a brother, Bud Aaron Speck and two sisters, Neoma Lee and Cloma Jean Christian.

Lois's family was of upmost importance to her, and they will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Eldon VanBrunt; children, Tracy Gibson, Kevin VanBrunt and his wife, Kelley, Lora VanBrunt and Kristi VanBrunt; a sister, Mary Travis; grandchildren, Nick Fulk, Shelbie Holcomb, Makenzie Hawkins, Mallorie Hawkins, Josh Gray, Keri Gibson, Ashli Anson and Audri Anson; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, OK. The Reverend Lis Sowers will officiate.
