Obituary

The funeral service for Lonnie Dale Fairchild will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK.  The Reverend Bobby Jenkins will officiate.

Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Thomas Applegate, David Cobb, Michael Cole, John Deckard, Dennis Dorr, Ronnie Fairchild, Colin Kirk and Steven Ledford.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Berry, Jacob Deckard, Lloyd Fairchild, Dan Tedder and Eldon Vanbrunt.

Lonnie Dale Fairchild was born October 13, 1944 in Muskogee, OK to Odell Fairchild and Louise (Overman) Mannon. He grew up in Muskogee, moving to Wagoner in the 1960's, where he made his home ever since. Lonnie loved working on cars. He owned and operated a body shop and as a hobby restored old cars. His favorite sport was coon hunting, and he raised chickens and goats. On television his favorite shows were westerns and auctions.

Lonnie departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Broken Arrow, OK at the age 74 years, 2 months and 6 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Ann Fairchild; two grandchildren, Robin Fairchild and Angie Bobo; two infant great-grandchildren, Isaiah Fairchild and Gabriel Byars.

Survivors include three children, Bobby Fairchild and his wife, Melinda of Manchester, Kentucky, Teresa Fairchild of Muskogee, OK and Steven Fairchild and his wife, Diane of Tahlequah, Ok; eleven grandchildren, Tonya Fairchild, Lacee Daniels and her husband, Hunter, Cody Fairchild, Randy Fairchild, Kristen Battenfield, Justin Battenfield, Shana Lewis, Ashley Latty, Kaylee Fairchild and Colton Fairchild; by twenty-six great-grandchildren; one sister, Dian Horton of Broken Arrow, OK; three brothers and their spouses, Cliff and Denise Fairchild of Sallisaw, OK, Alvin and Roxie Overman of Kuwait and William and Michelle Mannon of Coweta, OK; a number of nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
