Ruth Lucille Satterfield was born September 28, 1922 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, one of eight children born to Thomas and Tealey (Snelson) Gilbert. Lucille made the Porter area her home all her life and was a member of the Porter Church of Christ. Before retirement she was employed at Prestolite in Wagoner.

Lucille's primary interest was her family. They recall that she was a loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law who loved to play games with family and friends. She set a good example for her family, who, most importantly, know her to have been a kind Christian woman who loved the Lord.

Lucille departed this life early Friday morning, March 23, 2018 at Saint John Hospital in Broken Arrow, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Chester Satterfield; her parents, Thomas and Tealey Gilbert; a son, Gary Satterfield; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include three daughters and their families, Carol and Mike Durrett of Porter, Sherry and Steve Staner of Porter and Dianna Cox of Coweta; three granddaughters; five grandsons; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George Gilbert of Coweta; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00-5:00 pm Sunday at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday at the Church of Christ in Porter. Mike Roberts will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Brian Durrett, Brent Durrett, Sloan Staner, Alan Cox, Tony Phipps and Chase Staner. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Cox, Don Kilgore, Keston Durrett, Justin Staner and Logan Durrett.
