Obituary

Lillian Lucille Sparks was born March 8, 1923 in Hughes County, near Wetumka, Oklahoma, to George Washington and Lola (Rogers) Isom. Lucille attended church and loved to sing. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Quilting was a favorite pastime, and Lucille made quilts for everyone in her family. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 3 days. Her husband, James Sparks, her parents, and all her siblings, including a brother, Lloyd Isom, preceded her in death. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Cleat and Helen Story of Wagoner; three grandchildren, Tina Lynn and her husband, Barry Madison of Woodland Park, CO, Sandra Story of Broken Arrow, OK and Jim Story of Grand Junction, CO; five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; a cousin, Pearl Kicker; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Wetumka City Cemetery, Wetumka, OK. The Reverend Chester Cantrell will officiate. Arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.
