Obituary

Graveside funeral services for Luella Sullivan Fisher will be held Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner with the Reverend Greg Smith officiating. Luella was born May 7, 1922 in Wagoner to her parents, Grover and Velma (Cothrun) Sullivan. She grew up and graduated from high school in Wagoner. Luella worked for many years as a secretary for Sinclair Oil and Arco Oil companies in Tulsa. Luella was also a member of the Retirees Assoc. of Arco Oil. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Wagoner and served many years as a church grandmother. Over the years, Luella provided clothing and supplies to needy families in our area. Her life-long involvement in Wagoner made her one of the best historians in the area. Her greatest enjoyment for her was to spend time shopping with her family and friends. Luella passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at the Wagoner Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Viva Dean Baker and a nephew, Mike Day. Luella is survived by her brothers, Vernon Sullivan and his wife, Eunice, of Wagoner and Franklin Sullivan and his wife, Karen, of Sapulpa; her sisters, Mary Day, Dorothy McDaniel and Joyce Lemley, all of Wagoner; numerous nieces and nephews; special long-time friends, John and Linda French; other relatives and friends. Memorials may be sent to the First Christian Church Scholarship Fund of Wagoner. Luella's nephews served as pallbearers. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
