Obituary

Manford Blane Crawley, better known as "Red" was born on May 12, 1948, to Alfred Crawley and Syble (Martin) Crawley in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  He attended and graduated from McAlester High School. He met the love of his life, Rosa Lee Newby and they were married on November 6, 1965, in Eufaula, Oklahoma.  They shared 6 decades together, and was an example of true love.

Red was a man of God and loved to share the word of the Lord with anyone who would give him the opportunity.  He was an ordained minister and also worked at McAlester Penitentiary, serving as a supervisor in the kitchen.  He proudly served his country for 27 years in the United States Army and was proud of it.  He took great pride in riding his motorcycle, and fishing.  Although Red had many joys in life there was no other he loved as much as his family.

Red went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, he passed at his home in Hulbert, Oklahoma, at the age of 77.  Preceding him in death are his parents, Alfred and Syble Crawley; 2 brothers; and 2 children.

Those left to cherish the many memories of his life include his beloved wife, Rose Crawley of the home; his son, William Craig; his grandchildren, Clayton Craig, Daniel Craig, and Milo Craig; and his brother, Edward Crawley and his wife, Sonya of McAlester, Oklahoma.

A private family Memorial Service will be held in McAlester, Oklahoma.
