Margaret Boyd

After 92 years of beautiful life, God called Margaret Emily Boyd home on February 2, 2026. Margaret was born November 21, 1933, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to her parents Alford and Alice Marlnee. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Danny Eugene Boyd, son, Michael Eugene Boyd, and her brothers, Howell and Kenneth Marlnee.

Margaret married Danny on January 11, 1950,and together they built a life full of love and family including 4 children and their spouses: Mike and wife Gayle, Pat and wife Janelle, Bill and wife Sandy, and Dana and husband Mike. They had 8 grandchildren and their spouses: Brandon and wife Lori, Chris and wife Katrina, Kelly and husband Andrew, Emily and husband Tom, Nathan and wife Anne, Kasey and husband Greg, Kristie and husband Steven, and Sean and wife Emma. Their family grew to include 19 great grandchildren: Alex and wife Kate, Andi, Averie and husband, Matt, Vincent, Victoria, Ivy and husband, Gunter, Maddox, Escher, Elliott, Molly and husband, Devin, Nate, Mason, Mitch, Sydnee and husband, Weston, Carlee and husband, Caleb, Hallee, Karsyn, Jackson, and little SJ. They were blessed even further with 7 great great grandchildren: Willow, Emma, Ella, Cylus, Sutton, Oaklee, and Laynee. Margaret is also survived by her extended family: Jim and Sherry Guess, Lynda and Coy Armstrong, Jana Boyd, Charles and Vicki Boyd, Marty and Liz Boyd, Lesley Turner, David and Tina Marlnee with other extended family members.

Margaret fulfilled many roles over the years working for Beebe Oil Company, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Social Security Administration, but her main roles were wife, mother, and grandmother.

She enjoyed playing card games, reading, traveling, OU sports, OKC Thunder basketball, and eating good food (especially desserts!)…but her main enjoyment in life was her family - they were the jewels in her crown, and she devoted all her time and love for them through the many field trips and outings with all her grandkids and later with her great grandkids.

Her years were all in Oklahoma from growing up in Muskogee, living in Porter, transferring to Oklahoma City and then back to Porter. She lived a wonderful life and created a lasting legacy. She was well loved and will be forever missed.

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Margaret Boyd will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1pm at Porter Church of Christ in Porter, Oklahoma. Dan Pearce will officiate.

Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, Oklahoma.
