Margaret Louise Cole was born in Broken Arrow, OK on January 21, 1955, one of 13 children of Earl Clayton Keele and Ida Mae (Grayson) Keele. The family moved from Broken Arrow to Porter, OK where Margaret graduated from Porter High School in 1973. She continued her education at Bacone College where she became a licensed practical nurse. She cared for many patients during her career in nursing at Muskogee Regional Medical Center in Muskogee, OK.

Margaret enjoyed life at every turn. In high school she loved playing basketball, volleyball, and softball and enjoyed acting in school plays and participating in FFA. She loved nature, whether feeding her cows from the little buggy she drove around or watching her hummingbirds and the conclave of cardinals who live near her home. She loved all water sports and felt at peace being near water and sand.

Margaret married Larry Cole on September 16, 1977, and they continued to make their home in Porter. Together they owned and operated Larry's Fried Chicken in Owasso, OK. The union was blessed with three children, Heather, Ryan and Miles.

Margaret departed this life to be with the Lord at her Porter home on January 3, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Cole, her parents, Earl and Ida Keele, and ten of her siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Heather Cole of Muskogee, OK, Larry Ryan Cole of Porter, OK, and Miles Peyton Cole and wife, Lori Brooke of Broken Arrow, OK; two brothers, Dan Keele and Henry Keele; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family members and friends.

Viewing will be on Thursday, January 9 beginning at 11 am at Mallett Funeral Home.

The family and friends will gather on Thursday from 5-7 pm for a Visitation.

The Celebration of Margaret's life will be in her home church, the Broken Arrow Indian Methodist Church at 11 am Friday, January 10. Officiating will be the Reverend Eli McHenry.

Interment rescheduled due to inclement weather in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, Oklahoma, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12 pm.  Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband, Larry Cole. Pallbearers will be Tyler Puckett, Ben Cole, Matt Cole, Jordan Lancaster, Kevin Bayer, Jason Tackett.
