Funeral services for Margaret Ruth McCollough, 64, life-long resident of the Porter area will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 6 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Roy Essary officiating. Margaret was born Nov. 24, 1947 in Muskogee to her parents, Hubert and Helen McCollough. She grew up and graduated high school in Porter. On June 18, 1966 in Stilwell, OK, she was united in marriage to Darrell McCollough, a union lasting 45 years. For many years Darrell and Margaret owned and operated the One Stop Convenience store in Porter, where they were a help to so many. Margaret enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, cooking and fishing. She also loved taking her chances at the casinos, but her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren. Margaret passed away Thursday, Feb. 2 at her home near Porter. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Darrell of the home; her two sons, Darren McCollough and Dennis McCollough and his wife, Christy all of Porter; her grandchildren, Kasey, Alex, Hannah and Maverick; her sister, Claudette Faulconer and her husband, Randy also of Porter; nieces, Christi Plunk and Valene Faulconer; other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers will be Reverend Bobby Jenkins, Steve Staner, Marion Schauffler, Bill Keele, Bill Jones and Terry Oliver. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Holmes, John Matthews, Roy Cole, Pat Boyd, David Coffman and Mike Jones. Funeral arrangements and interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
