Marilyn Hefner

Marilyn Sue Hefner passed from this life on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Eastgate Care and Rehab in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years.

Marilyn was born on March 11, 1951, to William "Bud" Hefner and Ethel (Taff) Hefner.  For several years, she served her community as a dispatcher with the Wagoner Police Department, a position she faithfully held until her retirement.  

Marilyn was known for her quick wit and straightforward personality.  With Marilyn, you never had to wonder where you stood.  She had a way of saying exactly what she thought, often with a little humor mixed in, and those who knew her will remember the unmistakable personality that made her uniquely Marilyn.  

A memorial service honoring Marilyn's life is currently being planned.  The date, time, and service information will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
