Marsha Lynn (Mashburn) Techau was born on September 14, 1950 to James Henry Mashburn and Virginia Mavis (Thomas) Mashburn in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Porter High School in 1969. Marsha married the love of her life, Terry Techau on June 16, 1972. They were happily married for 51 years.
Marsha was employed at Central Elementary School in Coweta, Oklahoma. She assisted in preparing many meals for the attending children. She was a very caring woman. She had many joys in life. Attending to her flower garden always brought her peace. Her family was imperative to her. She loved her children and her grandchild. Marsha was also a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, Oklahoma.
Marsha departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma with her loving family at her side, at the age of 73 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Virginia Mashburn; and infant daughter, Tiffany Ann Techau.
Surviving Marsha is her husband, Terry Techau of the home; a son, Jonathan Techau of Coweta, OK; a daughter, Terrell Schlinke and her husband, Shawn of Edmond, OK; a granddaughter, Mirrah Phillips of Edmond, OK; a brother, Jim Mashburn and his wife, Barbara of Norman, OK; a sister, Leann Ball and her husband, Mike of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Jeff Mashburn and his wife, Cindy of Katy, TX; a sister, Sandra Ritchie and her husband, David of Garvin, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will dearly miss her.
The family will greet friends and relatives at the Visitation on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner, OK.
A Graveside Service honoring the life of Marsha Techau will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery Chapel in Wagoner, OK. Life Celebrant Mary Jane Whisnant will officiate.
