Mary Lou (Cardinal) Holder was born July 7, 1944 in Porter, Oklahoma to Charles and Dorothy Mae (Morgan) Cardinal. Her family moved to Hulbert, OK where Mary Lou attended high school. She settled in Wagoner and made it her permanent home.
Mary Lou enjoyed being a homemaker in her later years. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. Her favorite activities were reading, cooking, and bargain hunting when she was able.
Mary Lou departed this life at her Wagoner home on Monday afternoon, July 26, 2021 at the age of 77 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Dorothy Cardinal; her aunt and uncle, Lee and Mary Boston, who raised Mary Lou, Della and Lloyd; two brothers, Lloyd Cardinal and Tommy Cardinal and a son, Dennis James.
Her loving family who survive her include her husband of thirty-seven years, Larry Holder of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Della and Marvin Rogers of Tahlequah, OK; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tracy James of Wagoner, OK; grandchildren, Crystal Snow and husband, Daniel, Matt and Nick James and Robbie James, all of Wagoner, OK; Jessie James of Pryor, OK and Jordan James and wife, Amanda of Durant, OK; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mary Lou will be Thursday from 2 – 7 pm, with a Visitation from 5 – 7 pm.
The Funeral Service will be at 11 am Friday, July 30, 2021 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. Officiating will be Mr. Wendell Tenison.
Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, OK. Pallbearers will be Larry Holder, Kevin James, Marvin Rogers, Kevin Vanbrunt, Matt Jones, Ricky Taylor and Howard Scott.
