Obituary

The Celebration of Life for Mary Louise Lemley, 85, a lifelong Porter resident, will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Brown, Reverend Charles Smith and Michael Stockton.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Porter, OK. Pallbearers will be Scott Lang, Gary Lang, Larry Lang and David Wortham.

The family and friends will gather for a Visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday.

Mary Louise Lemley was born December 12, 1933 at Gaither Hill, in the Vanns Lake area, Oklahoma, to Albert Lang and Hazel (Gaither) Lang. She was the oldest of four siblings She was saved and baptized at an early age and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Porter.

Mary married Elvin Gene Lemley on November 29, 1952. They were married for sixty-six years and were blessed with four daughters, Betty, Karrie, Nita and Belinda.

Mary passed from this life early Monday, March 4, 2019 at her home in Porter, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hazel Lang; two siblings, her brother Bill and sister, Barbara; son-in-law James Oden and a grandson-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Marshall.

Survivors include her loving husband, Elvin Gene Lemley of Porter, OK; daughters Betty Stockton and husband, Mike of Coweta, OK, Karrie Oden of Porter, OK, Nita McCain of Porter, OK and Belinda Brackett and husband, Ricky of Porter, OK.

Mary and Gene were also blessed and excited to have nineteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren who survive her.

Siblings who survive her include her brother, Al Lang, Jr and wife, Sandy of Porter, OK, Brother-in-law, Archie Wortham of Coweta, OK and sister-in-law, June Lang, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins; other extended family and friends.
