Mary Carol Maner, 71, of Talihina, OK, departed this life Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. She was born June 21, 1939 in Okmulgee, OK to Eldon and Mary (Vincent) Rhodes. Carol graduated from Tulsa Webster High School and lived in Tulsa during her early years. Before retirement she was employed as a clerical worker for a number of business, including the Spanish Trace Inn, Getman Drugs and in banking, as well as in sales for Walmart. She was an avid reader and the caretaker of her family, who remember what a wonderful cook she was. She was saved and baptized in the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee. Presently she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Skiatook. She is survived by her husband, Dave Maner Sr., of Talihina, OK; her sons and daughters-in-law, David Maner Jr and Angela of Tulsa, OK, Dusty Maner and Lori, and Gary Maner and Paula, all of Athens, TX; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Brooke, Anna, Lindsey, Aaron, Alex, Jamie and Mark; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Payton, Jordan, Kaylee and Noah; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Francis Berka will officiate. Pallbearers will be David Chambers, Jeff Chambers, Mark Chambers, Dustin Maner, Aaron Maner and Alex Maner. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, OK.
