Mary Lou (Redfern) Neal was born on June 22, 1932, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to LA "Dump" and Iva Marie (Boatright) Redfern. She graduated from Wagoner High School and worked as an information operator for the former Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until retirement. Mary Lou married David W. Neal on October 19, 1963, and they enjoyed a life together until his death on October 15, 2010.
Mary Lou's favorite hobby was taking pictures and videos. She would have multiple copies made of what she caught on camera. She loved to go to Branson and would take anyone that would go, family or friends. She enjoyed taking pictures of her trips and of her family. Also, Mary Lou spent time crocheting afghans in her younger years.
She departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David W. Neal; her brother, David Lee Redfern, Sr; and her infant sister, Madelyn Sue Redfern.
Those left to cherish Mary Lou's memory are her son, David Jay Neal of Nowata; sister-in-law, Phyllis Redfern of Broken Arrow; brother-in-law, Don Neal and his wife, Mary Nell of Wagoner; many nieces, nephews and greats, who Mary Lou loved dearly; other relatives and friends.
Following Mary Lou's wishes, she will be laid to rest next to her husband with a private graveside service to be set at a later date.
