Obituary

MARY ELIZABETH RAP Mary Elizabeth Rap, 83 of Wagoner passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Mary was born on Dec. 13, 1928 in Muskogee, OK to her parents Arch and Frankie Bell (McLaughlin) Estes. She grew up in the Ray Community east of Wagoner and attended Hulbert schools. For several years she and her family lived in Eastern Texas where they owned and operated a general store. They moved to Stroud, Oklahoma for a time before settling in Wagoner. As a homemaker, she was an excellent cook and seamstress and enjoyed quilting and embroidery and providing for her family. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rap and by her two sisters, Lydia Faulk and Wanda Beckwith. She is survived by her children, Dorma Simmons, Archie Patterson and his wife, Gail all of Wagoner, Terry Patterson of Muskogee, Randall Rap also of Wagoner and Cynthia Grace of Canton, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Graveside services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
