Mary Lue Welch was born September 12, 1946 in Broken Arrow, OK to Lonny and Marie (Gourd) Cagle. She grew up in Coweta, OK and remained a Coweta resident most of her life. Mary Lue was married to Billy Joe Welch, and they were blessed with two children, Darrin and Patricia.

Mary's family recalls how her favorite role in life was being Nana to her beloved grandchildren. They remember how she loved to be outdoors and enjoyed a good laugh. Her favorite pastimes were puzzle books and watching the old classic television shows such as Bewitched, Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy and Gunsmoke.

Mary Lue departed this life Wednesday evening, April 22, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 73 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Welch, her parents, Lonny and Marie Cagle and one brother, Alan Cagle.

She is survived by her son, Darrin Welch and Georgia Sueann Dutton of Wagoner, OK; her daughter, Patricia Welch and Jeremy Lipe of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Joe Antelope, Raymond Perryman, Richard Perryman and Robert Perryman; step-grandchildren, Kaylee Clayton, Sambria Clayton, Carey Clayton Jr., Shana Clayton and Austin and Alexi; two sisters, Betty Payne and Lena Edwards; a brother, Richard Cagle; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

There is no service planned at this time. Following cremation Mary Lue will be laid to rest beside her husband, Billy Joe in Vernon Cemetery, Coweta, OK.
