Melba Jo (Haley) Oliver was born on May 14, 1950 to Joe Bob "Daughber" and Helen Thetis (Craft) Haley in Rufe, Oklahoma. Melba went on to earn a Bachelor degree from Bacone College. She became a registered nurse and worked at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She loved horses and horse racing. She also enjoyed fishing and even some hunting.

Melba passed from this life on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home in Porter, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlin Junior Oliver; son, Jessie Duane Donaldson; and daughter, Donna Donaldson.

Left to cherish Melba's memory are her granddaughter, Danielle Donaldson of Colorado; grandson, Jephery Donaldson and his wife, Callie, of Fairbanks, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Alexis Donaldson, Elizabeth Jones, Payton Jones, Samantha Donaldson, Preslee Donaldson, Oakley Donaldson; step-son, Bobby Oliver of Porter, Oklahoma and his family; other relatives and friends.
