Michael Lee McCain, 58, a former Wagoner, OK resident, died Friday, November 12, 2010 in Palm Bay, Florida where he recently made his home. Michael was born September 5, 1952 in Tulsa, OK to Dwane McCain and Wanda (Smith) Peterson. He served in the United States Army stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Michael worked as a security officer while living in Las Vegas, Reno, Nevada and Muskogee, OK. He also worked as a blackjack dealer and a limousine driver for the stars. Michael was an Emergency Medical Technician and worked in several area services, including the Coweta and Wagoner EMS. Most recently Michael had been a long haul truck driver. His family fondly remembers Michael's love of music and dancing and that he always did things his way. He was well liked by everyone. Survivors include his mother, Wanda Peterson of Wagoner; a daughter, Michelle McCain of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Lacey and Cheyenne; two brothers, Jack McCain of Wagoner and Dennis McCain of Graham, Washington; two sisters, Charlotte Mitchell of Camdenton, Missouri and Gwendolyn McCain of Wagoner; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening. Michael's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. Reverend Larry Brown will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The Fifth Division Honor Guard will present Military Rites. Pallbearers will be Dennis McCain, Jack McCain, Bob Mitchell, Payton McCain, Gary Blackwell, Ross Blackwell and Billy Victory.
