Michael Wayne Neal was born December 4, 1955, in Wagoner, OK. Following high school graduation Michael served in the United States Army. Before retirement he worked in new home construction as a dry wall installer and finisher.
Michael had a great talent for music and loved to sing and play his guitar. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his horses and buying and selling guns. He loved his cats and his dog, Cheyenne, who was his sidekick.
Michael was blessed with a large and close-knit family. He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends, each of whom have their own special memories of Michael and what his presence in their lives meant. These memories will be a comfort as they continue with their lives.
Michael departed this life Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Charlene Neal; sister, Sandra "Elaine" Smith; brother, Donald Neal; grandparents, Mae Helton and Thelma and John Miller; aunts and uncles, Lillian and George Lykins, Scot and Wanda Miller, Frank and Ina Miller, Mickey and Georgia Miller, Leon and Peggy Miller, Leona Wilson, Georgia Brown, and Jeanette Gautney.
Family members surviving Michael include his daughter, Kimberleigh Neal of Nowata, his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Eric Brimer of Okmulgee; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Anysia Neal of Yukon; grandchildren, Andrew Been and Justin Brimer of Okmulgee; Chevy Tiry of Nowata and Ayden and Abrielle Neal of Yukon; a sister, Lisa Neal of Muskogee; aunts and uncles, Jerry and Danna Miller, Cinda and Pepper Wilkey, Jim and Christy Gautney, Carlos and Joyce Brown and Gene Wilson; numerous 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins, nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
The Celebration of Michael's life will be at 2:00 pm Monday, October 16, in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner, OK. Officiating will be Carla Kay (Brown) Carey.
Viewing for family and friends will be from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday.
