Mildred Lucille Cole was born October 23, 1928 in Clarksville, Oklahoma to Alfred Miles and Alta (Macomb) Cook. She graduated from Porter High School and lived in Porter for most of her life, coming full circle by spending her last years in the home in which she grew up. Before retirement Mildred was employed by the Ford Glass Company as the tool crib operator. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Porter. Mildred departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in Tulsa, Ok at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 27 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Tyler Wayne Cole. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Margaret Cole and Roy and Eve Cole, all of Porter; a sister, Ruth Newberry, of Porter; five grandchildren, Heather Cole of Muskogee, Ben Cole and his wife, Michelle, Matt Cole and his wife, Jodi, Ryan Cole, and Miles Cole, all of Porter; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Cole, Blake Cole, Cash Cole and Shelbi Cole; her nieces and nephew; other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Porter Church of Christ. Mr. Steve Shinnerer will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Ben Cole, Matt Cole, Ryan Cole, Miles Cole, Chris Boyd and Nathan Boyd.
