Mildred Montgomery was born July 23, 1943 in Porter, OK to Wesley and Georgie (Criner) Hallum Kirk. She graduated from Porter High School. Mildred was married to Clyde Ray Montgomery. A lifelong Porter resident, Mildred loved dogs and provided a dog sitter service. She also liked to collect and display angels.

Mildred departed this life Monday, October10, 2016 at her home in Porter at the age 73 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Georgie Kirk; a daughter, Charmaine Montgomery; two sisters, Bessie Roach and Vesta Porter; and a brother, John Hallum Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Ray Montgomery; a son, Clyde Berry Montgomery, both of the home; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Donna and Dwight Herd of Coweta, OK and Anna Mae and Dean Welch of Porter, OK; a brother-in-law and his wife, Rory and Angie Montgomery of Fort Gibson, OK; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11: AM Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Greenwood Cemetery Pavilion in Porter, OK. The Reverend Kerry Jackson will officiate.

Cremation and service arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner.
