Mildred Pauline (Wilson) Waits passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at Wagoner Health & Rehab, Wagoner, OK, at the age of 85.

Mildred was born on October 2, 1940, to Bolen Green Wilson and Hester Margaret (Henderson) Wilson in Moody, Oklahoma.  Mildred married Acie Paul Waits on October 31, 1964.  Mildred worked at Western Hill Lodge, where she met Acie, and then worked at Prestolite in Wagoner, OK, for several years before retiring.  Mildred was known to be very sweet and kind.  She loved sewing and quilting as well as different kinds of needlework.  She also loved playing dominoes as well as cards, and other games with family and friends.  Mildred was a Christian who read her bible every morning. She had attended the Church of God in Wagoner as well as the Ray Mission Church later in life.

Mildred had a great love for dogs and hummingbirds.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Bolen and Hester Wilson; her brother, Edgar Q.L. Wilson; and her husband, Acie Waits.

Those left to cherish her memory is her brother, Andrew Wilson of Muskogee, Oklahoma, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews; also many extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

A viewing will be held in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor the life of Mildred Waits on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm.  Reverend Lisa Sowers will officiate.

Interment will follow at Hulbert Community Cemetery, where Mildred will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.  Those serving as casket bearers include Jason Masterson, Charlie Wilson, Andrew Paul Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, Jeff Waits, Gavin Jones, and Bonnie Kissee.  Dennis Waits will serve as an honorary casket bearer.
