Naomi Emmelyn Drake was born October 21, 1919 in Winslow, Arkansas to John and Ellen (Johnston) Arnold. She was Vice-President of her senior class at Mazie, OK High School before graduation. Naomi married Edgar R. Drake on February 28, 1940. They were longtime members of the Wagoner First Presbyterian Church. Naomi was a 65 years plus member of the Rebecca Lodge #124 in Wagoner. She was employed for many years at Douglas Aircraft where she worked as a stock room clerk.

Naomi departed this life early Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK at the age of 97 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Edgar Drake, a son, Jim Drake, a great-grandson, Chase Allen Sullivan, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Drake, five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, John and Martie Drake and Bill and Glenda Drake, all of Wagoner; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner. Pastor Ann LaMar will officiate.
