Neoma Fern (Linzy) Daniel, 79, passed away July 13, 2011 with her loving family by her side in Rose Hill, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Doug Daniel and an infant, Neil Daniel. Surviving her are her daughters, Jeanna Daniel, Gayle Daniel and Veleta Wiley; her sons, Terry Daniel and Brent Daniel; sisters, Betty Daniel, Dorothy Sedivy, Verna Meyers, and Mary Lou Brown; brothers, Kenneth, Alvin and Frank Linzy; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and her loyal canine, Toby. Neoma was introduced to the world on December 26, 1931 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. She was the first of 8 children born to Hila and Fred Linzy. She spent her earlier years tending to her family's farm. After working as a seamstress and homemaker, she began her career at K-Mart in Muskogee. After working hard for 19 years, Neoma retired in 1995. Neoma enjoyed feeding and watching birds, collecting cookbooks, gardening, cooking and playing dominoes. She was a hard worker and a loving person and will be very much missed by all family and friends. Neoma was a member of New Friends Bible Church in Augusta, Kansas, where a Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at the corner of Hwy 54 and Santa Fe Lake Road in Augusta. A Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. Her beloved family cordially invites you to attend her funeral service at First Baptist Church in Porter, OK on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. The Reverend James Pratt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Neal Daniel, Warren Daniel, Evan Forpahl, Mike Yochum, Ryan Hoskins and Nathan Daniel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter.
